4TH CLASS - HAITI INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM RESEARCH

Today:
1) Research was shared by members of the team. Way to take the initiative to lead the brainstorming session, Leaders!
2) You chose a small research team:

- Education
- Environment and Environmental Problems
- Religion and Culture
and were given a handout of specific steps you used with the research packages you received.
If you missed class: It is important you see me to let me know what team you want to be a part of and so you can receive that team information to catch up. There is homework for next class (below).
Next class Monday, October 5 (Day 3): I trust you will have your agendas signed from class today by your parents/guardians. I also trust you will have a) up to #6 complete and b) have the extra research for your team ready to discuss.
Have a good week! Let me know if you are having challenges finding more information.

3RD CLASS - GUEST SPEAKER L.TARDIF - DOCUMENTARY TAPING

Today:
1) L. Tardif, Realisatrice, Coordonatrice de production du cinema et de la television de Quebec, took the time to come and speak to us about the creation and taping process of the documentary. You all came up with excellent questions! We now can understand there there are many groups of people at and outside of QHS supporting this project. E. Sweeney was working on prepping another group that will be helping us. Thank you both for what you are doing. Now, Leaders, it is our turn!
If you missed class: It is important you see me ASAP.
Next class Monday, September 28 (Day 8): Be ready to discuss the information you are able to find out about Haiti. I am leaving it open on purpose to see what areas you are interested in researching, and to see the different kinds of information our team is able to discover. Ways you can research are online (http://www.google.ca/ and http://www.wikipedia.com/ are good starting points), in our library, and by talking to people. Good luck! If you are having challenges, see me ASAP. I look forward to knowing what you find out in two weeks!
